The new guidelines for COWC fees are in effect beginning January 1, 2010. The new rules incorporate the unit values posted in the 2009 Relative Values for Physicians (RVP) dataset which is authored by Relative Value Studies, Inc.

If you wish to run calculations yourself, you may obtain a copy of the 2009 RVP by calling Ingenix publishing at 1-800-632-0123. Be sure to specify that you want the 2009 edition or they will sell you the most recent edition, which would not be applicable for COWC claims.

Specific rules established by the Colorado Division of Workers Compensation are published in RULE 18 and override any guidelines put forth by Relative Value Studies, Inc. herein. RULE 18 may be downloaded from:
